Where Superhuman is the better pick
- You want a full email client today. Superhuman Mail runs on Mac, Windows, web, iOS, and Android. Synced has a web app for desktop browsers and an iPhone app, with Android planned but not dated.
- Your team shares email work. Superhuman lists shared conversations, team comments, shared drafts, and team read statuses. Synced is built around one person's Inboxes and Decide queue.
- Sales teams that live in a CRM get HubSpot, Salesforce, and Pipedrive integrations on Superhuman's Business plan, plus read statuses and a recent opens feed.
- You want the AI to send on its own for some mail. Superhuman offers that as an option. Synced deliberately doesn't: every AI-drafted message waits for you.
- Keyboard speed matters to you. Split Inbox, Snippets, Snooze, Send Later, and Undo Send are the core of Superhuman's product, and it has had years to refine them.
Where Synced is the better pick
- Your requests don't all arrive by email. Synced connects Slack, Microsoft Teams chats, WhatsApp Business, Instagram Business DMs, Messenger, SMS via your own Twilio number, and GroupMe as Inboxes next to Gmail and Outlook.
- You want the file and the meeting time handled along with the reply. For each message Synced writes an Action Plan: it finds the file in Google Drive or OneDrive, checks Google Calendar for open slots, and drafts the response in one pass.
- You want a hard rule that nothing goes out unreviewed. In Synced, approval before sending is the only mode. See human-in-the-loop approval.
- You want to start free. Synced's Free plan covers 20 Action Plans a week with Gmail, Drive, OneDrive, and Calendar. Superhuman's pricing page lists no free Mail plan.
Using Superhuman and Synced together
The two don't conflict. Superhuman is where you read and write email; Synced connects to the same Gmail or Outlook account through the provider's own permission screen and works in the background. A reasonable split: keep Superhuman as your email client, and use Synced for the Slack, Teams, and WhatsApp messages that Superhuman doesn't cover, plus the email requests that need a file or a meeting time attached.
If you're moving off Superhuman instead, nothing needs exporting. Your mail stays in Gmail or Outlook. Connect the account in Synced, and new messages start showing up in Messages, with anything needing a decision in Decide.
